I made it through another week…Hooray!!! Today’s theme song of the day is "Superstar" by Lupe Fiasco. I am really digging his new album. Check out this track (link to entire album in comments):

Long or Short has a great critique of the movie 21:
The real life MIT blackjack team was mostly asian and middle eastern, and the main guy, Jeff Ma, was asian (he later started PROTRADE). In the movie version, the lead is some banal young white “star” and Kate Bosworth. If an asian dude can’t be the star of a movie about going to MIT by day and counting cards by night…what exactly can he be in except for a kung fu movie? Not to go Stossel, but GIVE ME A BREAK.
Pop-Sci has a great post about the 10 most prophetic Sci-Fi movies ever:

Zenith Solar — Let’s talk about "Concentrated" Solar Power:
Compared with traditional flat photovoltaic panels made of silicon, this so-called "concentrated solar power" technology has proved in tests to be up to five times more efficient. That puts it on the verge of being competitive with oil and natural gas, even without government subsidies.
