Still playing catch-up…I have to formulate a client acquisition strategy for work…but I do have time to share the theme song of the day with you. It’s the DJ Skeet Skeet and Cory Nitta remix of "Buzzin" by Shwayze. I agree that the original is super poppy (is that a word?), but I dig the remix. Check it out:
Over the past week, I spent quite a bit time trying to understand the new N.E.R.D. album in hopes of sharing it with you. Unfortunately, other than the remix of "Everyone Nose ," I am unimpressed. Well, "Anti Matter" is cool — but not amazing. I did, however, find a Lupe Fiasco album that I slept on. It was released in 2006 (probably when I had 2-a-day water polo practices and Accounting class). Anyway, it’s new to me — and I really dig it. So now, I’m playing The Cool, the Lupe mixtape, and this one (Food and Liquor). Each has great production, courtesy of the Neptunes and Kanye West, great lyrics, and Lupe’s flow is unassuming and mellow. And most importantly, the chorus’ don’t suck. If I have one complaint about hip hop in 2008, it’s the awful chorus that overpowers and kills 90% of tracks out there — I cringe every time I hear one.
That said, the theme song of the day is "I Gotcha," by Lupe Fiasco. I’m digging it right now.
Today’s theme song of the day is "Here’s the Thing," by GirlTalk. This track is all over the place. It starts with Quad City DJ’s (from back in the day), transitions to that American Idol girl that used to be fat but isn’tanymore, and ends with Rick Springfield — and those are just the vocals in the mix…The album is basically a cleaned up version of his live set — and it rocks. This is just one track — the complete album (called Feed The Animals) is dope. Give it a listen — if anything, it’s fun. It’s available online — just name your price. find it at Illegalart.net (or just click on the pic below).
Sunsets here are unbelieveable…i wish that i could share them with you — but i’ve been catching them from the water.
Today’s song of the day is a hip hop track that I have been playing for a while. It’s quintessential Def Jux – what would I do without that label? If you dig El-P, Aesop Rock or Cannibal Ox, this track is for you. It’s Rob Sonic’s “Rock the Convoy” from the Sabotage Gigante album. The reviews out there are mixed… but I have yet to find a Def Jux album that I didn’t enjoy. This track fits in well with the Girl Talk album (which is unreal!!!!!!!), the Black Ghosts mixtape, The Cool Kids’ EP, and Kids in The Hall. . . now you know what’s on my playlist today .

And I can’t let this one get by. Bryon Ng is the man!!!! Using yahoo, he hacked through myspace and facebook, revealed Paris Hilton’s and Lindsay Lohan’s private profiles and fwd’d pics to AP. gotta love the article title: your privacy is an illusion.
The best part is that it took no real hacking:
"How did Ng get them? Here are his instructions, which involve no real hacking or unauthorized access — just typing in Web addresses. They work because Yahoo allows its users to add their MySpace profiles to their cell phones without checking their credentials; it requires a login, but accepts any login, not the specific user’s login."
hello. i spent the morning helping a friend move into his laguna beach apartment. super mellow. Today’s song of the day is "Lupe the Killer," by Lupe Fiasco. It’s from Muhammad Walks — and import that I just found. Definitely a fun track (and I gotta say that I dig the jacket), check it out:

and here’s something that we should all be thinking about, free cash flow:
Definitions of Free Cash Flow
"FCF is what a company has left over at the end of the year - or quarter - after paying for all the salaries, bills, interest on debt, and taxes and after making capital expenditures to expand the business.”
“Free Cash Flow, strictly speaking, is the amount of money left over from the operations of a company that is available for distribution to owners (stockholders) of the capital employed in the company.” For a fundamental investor, this is a very important number because, if you owned this company outright, FCF is the money that you would get to withdraw for yourself.
"IT IS DEFINED AS CASH WITHOUT ANY RESTRICTIONS ON IT USE. It is available for any purpose at any time."
