I’m back from Atlanta … sitting at my desk booking a flight to Chicago while coordinating movers and delivery people. things are moving rather quickly. the good news is that I am stoked to be so busy… the bad news is that I haven’t been updating… But I’m in town all week — and I promise to get caught up, get back to updating daily, and bring back the theme song of the day.
swell is still here…got a ton of waves and one amazing left this morning…this new board rocks!
trunks, zinc, wax, board, and a couple of bros… life is good. time for a stella, a burger, and a nap … we’re going back out when the wind drops off. hope that your day is like mine.
new board. warm water. south swell. a bit of sunburn.
i’ll be back when the swell ends.
:)
[evening session update]
Alright, you gotta hear about this… first of all, I caught more rights at the point than I ever have (wooo hooo!!!)….second of all, I saw a hovercraft today — it was right outside the surf zone (full on military size, super large and loud hovercraft…crazy, huh?!)…and third of all, after an amazing sunset (the sky and ocean were pink and orange) fireworks were launched from the pier (totally 4th of july style)….it was unreal.
newps is dope.
I started the day talking about jackin’ distressed commercial properties (45% returns from the bad decisions of others), mapped out a strategy for my MLM, and now I’m looking for condos that are renting for 60% of their debt service…I’m feeling kinda gangsta today . In keeping with my style…today’s theme song of the day is “This is Where the Fun Stops,” by the Snowgoons. I’ve been rockin’ their album Black Snow for a while now — Euro-hip hop that sounds like NYC circa ‘93. Enjoy:
I know that it’s been a minute since I gave you a song of the day…but it’s only because I haven’t been listening to music. I’ve been reading, researching, finishing an audiobook (Richistan) and listening to NPR…I promise to get the beats back into this blog ASAP
UPDATE: Here you go! Today’s song of the day comes from…….wait for it…….Birmingham, Alabama (no seriously). It’s Computer Club’s remix of “Erotic City.” I’m really digging it — and digging his style. I’ve also included another of his tracks: his remix of “Sometimes” by Les Rhythmes Digitales because I think that it might be better. Alabama?!
I’m addicted to the Irvine Housing Blog. I think that I have read nearly every post, view every chart, and review every rent v. buy comparison….what have I learned? It might be good to wait a couple more months….looks like I’ll be renting until November….and I am really glad that I didn’t buy a condo in Avenue One — but I may rent one for 6 months.
I keep running into energy guys…power plant developers, windmill developers, carbon credit guys….and they keep telling me to look into carbon credit trading, the current california legislation, and the federal legislation that is forthcoming… if you know anything about it — please shoot me an email.
The other thing that I have been researching is this mortgage restructuring phenomenon…it’s a lot like the people who fix your credit by sending 1000 letters to transunion and equifax .. in this case, they find loopholes in your mortgage and get you out from under water…sounds like a great platform for MLM… I can see the infomercials now…”Losing your House? Got bad credit? We can help….” Watch out, I just may start this one…I’ll be the guy with the cheesy boat (I mean yacht) in the background telling you about how I have made millions….HAHAAHAHAAHAH
And I was going to post the Paris Hilton thing…but her hybrid plan sucks…so I won’t post it. No offshore drilling, period. Every surfer knows that.
i’ve been thinking about an iphone lately…actually, i have been thinking about an iphone application that i want to build — and that means that i probably need to think about getting an iphone (at least for development purposes). anyway, this led me to my switching costs and benefits….and here is where you win:
Check out those links, make your own decisions…and get that new phone you were thinking about.
I’m still on the fence b/c my Sprint 1200 anytime minutes and unlimited data/texting is still under $50 a month … and I can’t wait to get the HTC Touch Pro but I may still have to get the iphone …at least for this project
And if you do get an iphone, let me know (or someone else who has AT&T before you sign up — you both get $25 gift cards). cool, huh?!
Sorry for not posting lately….it’s been busy. I’m consulting, looking at full time offers, and finishing my book…i’ve been travelling quite a bit too — so i’ll get back to posting later this week.
